Fred Mastison

Mr. Mastison is the International Director of Law-Enforcement training and Defensive Tactics Certification for IMAC. Mr. Mastison is a professional defensive tactics, personal protection and martial arts instructor. He has been training in CQB style combatives and Defensive Tactics for three decades and holds the rank of 5th degree black belt in Aikido and 7th degree black belt in Aiki Jitsu.
He is currently a member of the American Society for Law Enforcement Trainers. He has produced an Advanced Defensive Tactics DVD, Advanced Knife Defense, and is completing a book on the subject of defensive tactics training and instruction. Mr. Mastison has worked with hundreds of personnel from different companies and agencies.
In 2002 he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame for his achievements in the arts and again in 2004 as Defensive Tactics Instructor of the year.
Mr. Mastison has been active in the U.S. teaching law-enforcement classes as well as personal protection and traditional Aikido classes. Prior to relocating to Arizona Mr. Mastison was a senior instructor for the US Army 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. His courses have been used to augment and modify Defensive Tactics courses all over the United States.
Additionally, Mr. Mastison is an instructor and private contractor for executive & dignitary protection and private security consultant for U.S. and international corporations.
